Holy Family Hospital director confined demanding new pay scale

The doctors and staff of Holy Family Hospital in Dhaka today confined its director to his office for implementation of the new pay scale.

They have been demonstrating since this morning, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

The agitating staff said that they have been urging the authorities to implement the new pay-scale.

However, the authorities promised to realise the pay scale on 8th June but, today after coming to the workplace, they learnt that they were not getting the full hike.

As soon as the news spread, the staff started demonstrating inside the campus.

Later, they cut off the electricity connection of the director’s office and kept him confined to his room.

Meanwhile, the patients faced serious troubles in receiving treatment.

Till filing of this report, the director was confined to his office.
