House help injured after falling from building

A 12-year-old girl, a domestic help, sustained injuries after falling down from a six-storey building in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area today.

Swapna used to work at a flat owned by one Mahmud Hasan in Dhanmondi 15A area, said Sabbir Alam, a sub-inspector of Dhanmondi Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The police official said that Swapna was found on a tin-shed roof beneath the building.

She was admitted to Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital in Dhanmondi.

The victim’s parents hardly came to visit their daughter, SI Sabbir said quoting her employer, Mahmud.
