Ivy at Shakhawat’s home with sweets after win
Selina Hayat Ivy who retook mayor office in Narayanganj city following a landslide victory today called at the house of her opposing candidate Shakhawat Hossain.
The new mayor elect reached at the residence of BNP’s candidate Shakhawat Hossain Khan with sweetmeats around 11:00am today, reports our local correspondent.
After coming out from Shakhawat’s Mission road residence in Chasahara, Ivy said “it was a courtesy call”. She also said she will continue development works in the city.
“I will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and demand the Sitalakhya Bridge. I will work with public opinion and try to fulfill the peoples’ demands. I will not be biased to any political party or anyone,” she told reporters.
She also gave the credit behind her victory to the people of Narayanganj city and dedicated it to them and the freedom fighters of the country.
