4 JnU students suspended
The authorities of Jagannath University (JnU) today suspended four students for harassing a female student on the campus recently.
The suspended students are Aongkon Baul, Sabbir Ahmed, Abu Sufian and Rabbi, students of land management and law department of the university.
The authorities suspended them as they were found guilty in a primary investigation after a female student lodged a complaint of harassing her on the campus, JnU Vice Chancellor Mijanur Rahman told The Daily Star tonight.
A three-member committee led by JnU Proctor Mostofa Kamal has been formed to investigate the complaint, he said.
The probe body is directed to give their report within 10 working days, the VC also said adding that final steps would be taken after getting the report from the probe body.
Earlier, the authorities on January 2 issued a notice saying that the authorities will expel the students who will involve in ragging on the campus.
