‘Jamaat men’ vandalise 2 buses at Sobhanbagh
Aggrieved by the execution of war criminal Muhammad Kamaruzzaman, the activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir allegedly vandalised at least two vehicles and blasted two crude bombs at Sobhanbagh in Dhaka this noon.
The Jamaat-Shibir men vandalised the buses and also hurled the handmade bombs from a rally brought out protesting the execution of the Jamaat’s assistant secretary general, said a senior police official at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
Kamaruzzaman was executed at Dhaka Central Jail last night for his crimes against humanity committed during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.
