Journalists demand 9th wage board within July

Leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) yesterday demanded declaration of the ninth wage board for journalists within the current month of July.

A tough movement will be conducted across the country, if the declaration is not made within the time, said the journalist leaders in a joint statement.

The statement was issued by BFUJ President Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Secretary General Omar Faruq and presidents and secretaries of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) and all other associate organisations of BFUJ.

They urged all the journalists to be more vocal to realise the demand.
