10 Gazipur cops closed for negligence in duty

Ten members of Detective Branch (DB) of police were closed to Gazipur Police Lines on charge of negligence in duty on Monday and yesterday.

The action was taken against district DB sub-inspector Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, SI Moniruzzaman, ASI M Sumon Miah, ASI Aman Ullah, and constables Anwar Hossain, Ershadul Alam, Shahadat Hoosain, Arif Hossain, Rafique and Mostafa Miah.

Officer-in-charge of DB of Gazipur M Amir Hossain said superintendent of police Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid took the decision for their negligence of duty.
