2 ‘ABT men’ held in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today claimed arrest of two members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from Dhaka’s Pallabi area.

The arrestees are Manjurul Islam alias Sohag, 26, of Sherpur and Abbas Uddin alias Shukur Ali, 22, of Cumilla.

A team of Rab conducted an operation at Pallabi around 9:45pm yesterday and arrested the duo, said Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, senior assistant director of Rab's legal and media wing.

They also seized a huge amount of anti-state leaflets, extremist books and digital contents from their possessions, the Rab official added.
