23 doping gang members held in Dhaka: Cops

Detectives claimed to have detained of 23 members of a ‘doping gang’ from different areas of Dhaka.

Tipped off, the law enforcers detained them during drives and recovered food items mixed with sedatives from their possession, a DB official said wishing anonymity.

Shoppers across the city ahead of Eid were the main target of the criminals, he added.

Identities of the detainees and legal steps in this connection will be revealed at a press conference later today.
