5 ways to get voter number, polling centre info
The Election Commission today issued a press statement mentioning the different ways in which voters can obtain their voter numbers and voting centres ahead of the Dhaka North and South City Corporation elections scheduled for February 1.
SMS
Voters can now get their voter centre information through SMS from anywhere in Bangladesh by typing ‘PC<space>NID number’ in their phones’ text message option and send it to ‘105’ to receive the voter number and polling centre information via a return message.
Online
Voters can visit https://services.nidw.gov.bd/voter_center and enter their national ID card number or Voter Form number, date of birth, and captcha code in the window for voters’ personal information. It should be noted that voters with a 13-digit NID number will have to add their year of birth before the NID number.
After entering the required information, clicking on the ‘See Voter Information’ button will reveal all the information regarding a voter’s constituency, voter number, serial number, polling centre and NID card number.
Web application
The Election Commission has launched a web application to provide voters their necessary information pertaining to casting votes on election day.
Install the application in your smartphone after downloading it from here (https://services.nidw.gov.bd/resources/forms/PollingCenter.apk )
From Call-centre
Voters may also dial the Election Commission’s call-centre at the Hotline number 105 and obtain voter information. The call-centre number will remain active from 8:00am to 8:00pm every day.
With QR codes
Also, voters can scan the QR codes presented below to enter a link to obtain voter information.
Besides, all the polling centres will have banners showing the voter numbers and designated rooms for casting the votes.
