2 sisters found dead in Dakshin Goran house, bodies bore burn marks

Bodies of two sisters were recovered from their residence in Dakshin Goran area of Dhaka this morning.

Informed, police rushed to the spot around 8:00am and recovered the bodies of Alvi (8) and Jannat (12) from a four-storey building, said Officer-in-Charge of Khilgaon Police Station Moshiur Rahman.

There were burn marks on different parts of the bodies and their throats were slit, the OC said.

Police also rescued their mother, Arifunnesa Poppy, with burn injuries and sent her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Father of the victims was in Munshiganj last night on business purpose, the police official said.
