Businessman found dead in a Dhaka hotel

Police recovered the body of a businessman from a residential hotel in Tejgaon area of Dhaka this evening.

The deceased was identified as Ashraf Uddin, 30, a businessman hailing from Kaliakoir of Gazipur.

Being informed by the hotel authority, police recovered the body from a room on the sixth-floor of Hotel Givenci at Farmgate around 1:00pm, Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The victim rented the room on Monday and usually he stays in the hotel, the OC added.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

An unnatural death case was filed with the police station.
