Ctg airport to be closed to international flights pending CAAB clearance
Authorities of Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram are waiting for the decision of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh regarding closing the airport for all international flights from tomorrow until further notice in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Wing Commander Sarwar-E-Jahan, manager of Shah Amanat International Airport, told The Daily Star tonight that the airport authorities are waiting for CAAB's clearance in this regard.
No international flight will be allowed to land at the Chattogram airport from tomorrow until further notice, said Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Ilias Hossain earlier today.
A flight from UAE, scheduled for 9:30pm, would be the last international flight to land at the airport tonight if CAAB approves the decision to suspend international flights to Chattogram.
