Clean-up of animal wastes nearly complete in Chattogram city
Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) workers have almost finished cleaning up the main roads in the city, as part of its waste management work.
Shoibal Das Sumon, member of CCC standing committee for waste management, informed that they aimed to clean away the wastages of sacrificial animals from all the key roads by 5:00pm and to clean the alleys by 8:00pm.
"It is taking a little long than we speculated but we surely will finish the work by 8:00pm," said Sumon requesting the city dwellers to contact CCC control room if wastages were seen anywhere after 10:00pm.
A total of 273 vehicles of CCC are collecting wastes from 41 wards that were grouped in four zones in the city on the day of Eid-ul-Azha, our staff correspondent from Chattogram reports.
