A police official was killed after a bus hit him at Biman Bandar bus station on Airport Road in Dhaka last night.
Shafiqul Islam, 30, a sub-inspector of special branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), succumbed to his wounds at a hospital in Uttara around 12:15am, a police official said.
The victim was boarding a bus at the bus stop for going to Abdullahpur when another bus hit him around 11:00pm yesterday, Kamal Uddin, an officer-in-charge of Biman Bandar Police Station, told The Daily Star.
The victim's body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue, the OC said.
