DU question leak: Charges prepared against 125

Charges over Dhaka University’s admission test question leak has been prepared against 125 persons, including 87 students of the university.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Mohammad Shafiqul Islam announced the update today after one and half years of investigation.

The investigation itself is still progressing, he said. “Once we have completed our investigation, we will submit the final charge sheet before court.”

He made the disclosure at a press briefing held at CID headquarters in Dhaka’s Malibagh.

A special team under the organised crime unit of police being led by Police Superintendent Mollah Nazrul Islam has been working in the case for one and half years.

So far, at least 47 people have been arrested over involvement in question paper leak.
