2 university students die of dengue
Two university students have reportedly died of dengue fever since last night.
The deceased were identified as U Khein Nu, a student of Pharmacy department of 2018-19 session at Jahangirnagar University, and Firoz Kabir, a student of Finance department of 2013-14 session at Dhaka University.

U Khein Nu, a first-year student and a resident of JU’s Pritilata Hall, died of dengue fever on the way to Chattogram from Cox's Bazar today, reports our JU correspondent quoting victim's father Mong Ba Ang Mong Ba.
Khein was first admitted to JU Medical Centre with fever. After her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to a local hospital in Savar a few days ago. Later, she returned to her home in Cox's Bazar, Hall Provost Ayesha Siddika, also an associate professor of the university, said.
Rifat Khan, one of Khein's friends said, “We got Khein admitted at a private hospital and after some tests they identified dengue fever”.
“Khein was affected by dengue on July 17 and later she went home on July 20, then we admitted her to the Cox's Bazar Sadar hospital,” Mong Ba Ang Mong Ba said.
Today, on the suggestion of the duty doctor, we were taking her to the Chittagong Medical Collage Hospital, but on the way she died around 5:00 pm, he added.
Earlier last night, Kabir, a resident student of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of DU, died of dengue fever at a private hospital in the capital.
Kabir, who hailed from Thakurgaon, was initially admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) with dengue fever, said Hall Provost Professor Mofizur Rahman.
Later, he was shifted to the private hospital where he breathed his last around 10:00pm on Friday, the provost added.
Iqbal Hossain, a friend of Kabir and also a student of DU Finance department, told UNB that Firoz had been undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of DMCH for a week.
He was shifted to Square Hospital on Thursday, the friend added.
