JnU students asked not to stay on campus after 10:30pm
Jagannath University (JnU) authorities today directed the students of the university not to stay on the campus after 10:30pm.
A notice signed by the registrar of the university was issued in this regard.
“The decision came following some complaints of unwanted incidents including drug taking and mugging on the campus at night for some days,” said JnU Registrar Md Ohiduzzaman.
Proctor Mostofa Kamal said they have recently carried out drives after several reports of drug offense and mugging surfaced.
“We caught some students red handed during the drives and handed over them to police,” the proctor also said.
However, the students of different departments criticised such type of decision, reports our Jagannath University correspondent.
