JnU students vandalise vehicles

Students of Jagannath University (JnU) vandalised at least seven vehicles including buses in front of the campus in old Dhaka this morning.

Police picked up three students soon after the incident around 11:00am, Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, told The Daily Star.

"A student of the university was beaten up by the staffs of Ajmeri Paribahan last night at Fulbaria over a dispute regarding bus fare," the OC said.

"Later in the morning, the victim and his friends vandalised seven vehicles in front of their campus," the OC added.

The university officials later intervened and freed the students from police custody.
