Man, his nephew killed in Jatrabari road crash
Two people have been killed as a bus hit them in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area.
The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain, 40, and his nephew Salahuddin, 20, residents of Jatrabari, police said.
A speeding bus of Anabil Paribahan hit Anwar and Salauddin in Saddam Market area while they were crossing a road around 11:30pm yesterday, leaving them injured critically, said Ahmed Nawajis, sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station.
They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared them dead around 1:00am today, the police official said.
Shaheda Begum, wife of slain Anwar, told The Daily Star that Anwar, a father of two children, and Salahuddin were involved with water business.
“We want justice for them,” she added.
