Burglary in Nannu's house
Burglars broke into the home of Minhajul Abedin Nannu, chief selector of Bangladesh Cricket Board, in the capital and stole valuables while he and his family were in UAE.
Nannu flew in from Dubai to file a case with Adabor Police Station yesterday, in which he mentioned gold jewellery and other valuables worth Tk 20 lakh were stolen from his house at Nobodoy Housing in Mohammadpur.
Since Nannu left for Dubai on September 13, his sister had been stopping by to check on the house. But during her visit to the house on Saturday, she found the door lock broken and the house ransacked, police said quoting Nannu.
OC Kaosar Ahmed said police have inspected the scene and suspect that the break-in might have happened on Friday night.
