‘Truck Lagbe’ app launches commercially

'Truck Lagbe' app launched commercially on September, 19, 2018.

A mobile application is launched today for easy access of trucks across the country for transporting goods and different products.

In a program at Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division’s Agargaon office in Dhaka today, “Truck Lagbe”, a startup company, has inaugurated the commercial version of its mobile application.

Everyday tonnes of products are delivered across the country by different commercial vehicles and sometimes it becomes a huge hassle when one cannot find a proper and safe transport to deliver heavy goods, Anayet Rashid, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of ‘Truck Lagbe’, said at the launching event.

‘Truck Lagbe’ will be an instant solution for those situations, said Rashid. “We have designed the application to provide an instant solution. This app aims to develop a connection between the service receiver and the truck owner or the agency, ensuring a safe delivery of goods to their proper destination.”

The company has developed the application in July 2017 and about ten thousand trucks have already been registered under this app. In the last nine months they have handled about 6,300 trips, reports our staff correspondent.

“Truck Lagbe” is an award winning venture of the ICT Divisions Idea Project’s Startup Bangladesh 2017.

“If someone having no internet access wants our service, he can contact us in this number +8801939100100,” Rashid said.

The application is now available in Google Play.
