Uber Eats set for launch in Dhaka tomorrow
Uber Eats, the food delivery app by ride-sharing company Uber, will be available in Dhaka from 12pm tomorrow.
Uber Eats is an on-demand food delivery app that helps bring food to customers in a convenient and reliable manner from restaurants in their neighbourhood, according to a press release.
At the moment, the app has 150 restaurants on board. In the launch phase, Uber Eats will be available for consumers in Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara.
“The introduction of Uber Eats in Dhaka is a major step towards Uber’s commitment to Bangladesh. With the technology that Uber is known for, we aim to create a marketplace that is bringing value to our consumers, restaurant partners and delivery partners,” said Bhavik Rathod, head of Uber Eats India and South Asia.
The app allows users to schedule an order and live track it through every step of the process. The food will be brought by delivery partners on a bike. Customers can pay using cash or credit card.
As a launch offer, consumers can avail 50 percent off their first two orders with a delivery fee of Tk 1.
