UN official for quick probe into Abrar murder

UN Resident Coordinator Mia Seppo has called for quick investigation and justice in the incident of Buet student Abrar Fahad killing.

“This is worrisome and horrible,” she said while talking about the killing at a meeting at the BIISS auditorium in Dhaka today.

The UN official said as a parent of two children she felt horrified after learning such campus killing.

The campuses must be ensured safe, Mia Seppo said at the talk organised by the Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Bangladesh.

Abrar Fahad, a second-year student of Buet’s EEE department, was beaten to death allegedly by some BCL leaders at the university’s Sher-e-Bangla Hall sometime between 7:30pm Sunday and 2:30am Monday.
