The High Court today fixed November 16 for delivering judgement on three petitions filed by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir seeking bail in three arson and vandalism cases.
The bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Md Khashruzzaman fixed the date after holding hearing on the rules issued over the petitions.
The HC on June 21, following the petitions granted ad interim bail to Fakhrul and issued three separate rules asking the government to explain why he should not be granted regular bail in the cases.
On November 2, the Appellate Division asked the BNP leader to surrender before a trial court on the following day in the cases lodged with Paltan Police Station in the capital on January 4, 5 and 6.
The Appellate Division also asked the HC to hear and dispose of the rules in two weeks.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Maruf Hossain on November 3 sent Fakhrul to jail after he surrendered before it in line with the Supreme Court order.

The High Court today fixed November 16 for delivering judgement on three petitions filed by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir seeking bail in three arson and vandalism cases.
