Woman killed in Jatrabari road crash

A woman was killed in a road accident in Signboard area of Jatrabari early today.

The deceased, Halima Begum, 60, was hit by a bus in front of a petrol pump around 4:15am after she returned from Sylhet with her son, reports our staff correspondent quoting police.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her dead around 5:00am, said Md Abdul Khan, assistant sub-inspector of DMCH Police Outpost.

Right after the incident, the bus was seized and the driver was held as a police vehicle was nearby, he added.
