Pathshala starts bachelor, post graduation with affiliation of DU

Pathshala South Asian Media Institute has started its Bachelor and Post Graduation Diploma programmes on photography, film and television with the affiliation of Dhaka University (DU).

The institute will give certificate on four years of Bachelor degree on Photography, and one-and-half year of Post Graduation diploma on Film and Television with recognition of social science faculty of the DU.

Forms will be available at the institution from April and classes will begin from July with a batch of 25 students, its Chairperson Shahidul Alam said at a press conference held at Drik Gallery in Dhaka.

Anyone can apply for Bachelor degree in Photography department on completion of HSC or equivalent level of study and Post Graduation diploma in Film and Television department after completing graduation.

While introducing the courses, Shahidul Alam said that Pathshala got approval to work in affiliation with the DU in November last year.

Pathshala, which started in 1998, is the early school of photography in South Asia region, offering various short-term and long-term educational programmes including workshops and presentations in photography and multimedia journalism throughout the year.
