Police ‘informer’ murdered in Dhaka
Police recovered the body of one of its informer from near a slum in Shah Ali area of Dhaka city this morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Jasim, 35, son of Hanif Hawlader. He was a resident of Kingshok Balurmath slum of Mirpur area.
Hailing from Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshigonj district, Jasim was working as an informer of police and Rapid Action Battalion, police sources said.
On information, Shahbagh police went to the spot and recovered the slit-throat body on a road in front of the slum, around 7:30am, Abdur Rashid Sarder, a sub-inspector of Shahbagh Police Station.
Squeal of previous enmity might be one of main reasons behind the killing, SI Rashid suspected.
