Another suspected militant killed in Dhaka’s Nakhalpara raid on January 12 has been identified as Nafis Ul Islam.

Nafis, 16, son of Nazrul Islam in Chittagong, was an eighth grader of Kazem Ali High School of the city, reports our local correspondent.

Nazrul, father of Nafis, identified his son when CTTC unit officials went to his house and showed his son’s photo today.

Nafis went missing from his Sirajuddowla’s residence on October 06 last year, said AAM Humayun Kabir, assistant deputy commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP).

Nafis’ organisational name was “Abdullah”, according to police.

Earlier in the day, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) released photos of two of the alleged militants seeking their identities.

The photos were found from the profile of Mesbah Uddin of Manoharganj in Comilla, who was also killed in the “militant hideout” at Ruby Villa in Nakhalpara.

A case has been filed under Anti-Terrorism Act with Tejgaon Police Station in this connection.
