Road crashes kill student, tourist
Two people were killed in road accidents in two districts yesterday, according to reports from our correspondents.
In Khulna, a student of Khulna Medical College was killed as a car hit him on Rupsha bypass road in Khulna city's Labonchora area.
Ariful Islam Akash, 22, a third year student of the public medical college, was on a motorbike, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Labanchara Police Station.

He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said.
They could not seize the car, said the OC.
In Rangamati, a tourist was killed as he fell from a four-wheel drive while he was driving downhill in Baghaichhari upazila.
Thirty-year-old Genius Talukdar, who was from Rangamati town's Sukhinilganj area, was going to Sajek, said police.
The incident occurred in front of Ruiluipara Tourist Centre.
When he was rushed to Dighinala Upazila Health Complex, doctors declared him dead, he said.
