Ctg students announce end to agitation
A group of students in Chittagong has ended their agitation upon assurance that their localised demand will be met by the authorities.
The students promised to return to classes after holding talks with Chittagong’s Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Elias Hossain today, our local staff correspondent reports.
A 20-member delegation of the students went to the conference room of the DC's office and presented their demands. The authority assured their demands will be met.
Their demands included creating zebra crossings and speed breakers in front of educational institutions, and banning underage drivers and those without license.
The students committed that they would return to their classrooms from tomorrow, the deputy commissioner, who confirmed The Daily Star of the development, said.
