In a desperate attempt to seek help, injured blogger Ranadipam Basu, 50, posted a status on his Facebook page minutes after the attackers left him with two other victims locked from outside.

Unknown assailants stabbed a publisher of slain blogger Avijit Roy along with two bloggers in Dhaka’s Lalmatia area this afternoon.

Basu is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital with Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, 43, publisher of Shuddhwashawr, and blogger Tareq Rahim, 30, for the attack.

The attack took place at the office of Shuddhwashawr in Lalmatia Block C between 2:30pm and 3:00pm, Shamim Runa, wife of Tutul, told The Daily Star.

Minutes after the attack, Ranadipam Basu could only post “Kubaise ami Tutul bhai ar Tareq” [They hacked us – Tutul, Tareq and me].
