War crimes accused dies at Dhaka jail

A war crimes accused died of old age ailments at Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj this morning.

Abdul Ali Mollah, 65, was pronounced dead when he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 9:30am, said Sub-inspector Bacchu Mia of the hospital police outpost.

Earlier in the morning, Abdul Ali fell sick inside the jail, the SI added.

On January 24, Abdul Ali Molla was arrested from Bagerhat hours after the International Crimes Tribunal-1 issued warrant against him in a case filed for allegedly committing crimes during the Liberation War in 1971.
