War crimes accused in Pirojpur dies at DMCH

An elderly man, who was held for alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971 in Pirojpur, died of old age ailments this morning at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Fazlul Huq Howlader, 80, of Bhandaria upazila of Pirojpur, Dhaka Central Jail sources told our staff correspondent.

He was declared dead at DMCH around 9:40am today, according to the sources.

He had been suffering from various old age complications and was admitted to DMCH for treatment before as well.
