Coordination among relevant organisations is very important for a complete plan and its implementation for the city, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said today.

Addressing a views-exchange meeting between Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) and DSCC councillors at Nagar Bhaban on Detailed Area Plan (DAP), the mayor said Rajuk will prepare DAP and city corporations will play a role to assist them for proper implementation.

Taposh said both DSCC and Rajuk are complementary to each other in implementing different initiatives and do not have conflict.

In DAP, there are some places earmarked as a children's parks but in reality, you may find buildings in its place, Taposh said. He also said he hopes the allegations placed in the meeting by councillors will be addressed in DAP and Rajuk will be able to prepare a complete DAP.

Chairman of Rajuk, Mohammad Nure Alam, said, "I have realised in the meeting that many things were done in the existing DAP without involving people which is why it was not sustainable."
