No flights from Europe till March 31, except UK: Foreign Minister

No inbound passengers from European countries, except England, will be allowed entry to Bangladesh till March 31 following the coronavirus outbreak around the world.
All flights from European countries except the UK, will be suspended starting 12:01 am of March 16, Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen today made the comments while briefing media.
He also said all on-arrival visas will be suspended for two weeks.
No passengers from countries that have stopped flights with Bangladesh will be allowed entry either, the minister added.
While talking to The Daily Star, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said no European passenger can come to Bangladesh via another route either.
The foreign minister also said a video conference between the premiers of SAARC countries will be held tomorrow at 5pm (New Delhi time) to discuss the present situation surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19).
Apart from this, any other passenger coming from abroad will have to self-quarantine.
The ban will also be effective for those countries which have already restricted borders that include India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, BSS reports.
