Coronavirus: 2 Biman flights to Kuwait cancelled
Two flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines to Kuwait were cancelled following a one-week ban the country has imposed on flights to and from seven countries over coronavirus outbreak.
Bangladesh civil aviation ministry revealed the information in a press release today.
One of the flights was scheduled for today while another for Tuesday, March 10, according to the press release.
Further information regarding the cancelled flights will be revealed later, the release also reads.
Kuwait suspended all flights to and from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka for a week starting today, Kuwait's civil aviation directorate said in a tweet.
The country also banned entry of anyone who has been in the seven countries in the last two weeks except for Kuwaitis coming from the seven countries, who will be allowed entry but will have to submit to quarantine procedures, the civil aviation directorate added.
