Coronavirus outbreak: Narsingdi under lockdown from tomorrow
Narsingdi district will be put under lockdown from tomorrow to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
The district committee on coronavirus prevention affairs took the decision today as a part of its measures to prevent the spread of the infection, said Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Syeda Farhana Kawnine.
The decision will come into effect from tomorrow and remain in force until further notice, she told our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
As per the instruction, public entry and exit will be controlled in the district. All kinds of businesses establishments, gatherings, public transports and people's movement will also be restricted, the DC said.
Emergency services, food supplies and medical services, however, will remain out of the purview of the lockdown, she added.
