2 more doctors die from Covid-19
Two more doctors died from coronavirus in Dhaka in the last 24 hours.
The deceased were Professor Dr Ruhul Amin, an ophthalmologist and former director of Al-Razi Hospital, and Professor Dr MA Wahab, a retired doctor of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital's medicine department.
Dr Rahat Anwar Chowdhury, joint secretary of Foundation for Doctors Safety Rights and Responsibilities (FDSR), confirmed it to The Daily Star.
He said Dr Ruhul Amin, an eighth-batch student of Chattogram Medical College, passed away around 4:00pm yesterday while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Asgar Ali Hospital.
Dr MA Wahab died at Labaid Hospital around 12:45am today, Dr Rahat said, adding that he was also vice president Bangladesh Kidney Foundation.
Dr Rahat said 59 doctors have died from Covid-19 so far while eight others died with coronavirus-like symptoms.
