2 construction workers killed in Keraniganj culvert collapse

Two construction workers were killed and three others injured as an under-construction culvert collapsed on them in Dharmashur area of Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Dhaka, this morning.

The names and other details of the workers could not be known immediately, said Shaker Mohammad Jubair, officer-in-charge of Keraniganj Police Station.

The under-construction culvert collapsed on the workers amid rain around 9:00am, leaving the duo dead on the spot, the OC said.

The three injured workers were given treatment at a local hospital, he added.
