2 new metropolitan police units get chiefs

The Home Ministry appointed two senior police officers as the commissioners of newly formed Rangpur Metropolitan Police and Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Their appointment was announced in a gazette published today, elaborating that their appointment has been effective immediately.

Additional Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police YM Belalur Rahman has been made police commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Deputy Inspector General of police headquarters Md Abdul Alim Mahmud has been appointed as the police commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police.
