2 PCJSS members shot dead in Rangamati

Two members of Parbatya Chattogram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS-MN Larma) were shot dead by a group of unidentified armed miscreants in Bagaichhari upazila of Rangamati last night.

The deceased were identified as Shotosiddhi Chakma, 37, general secretary of central committee of Jubo Samity, youth wing of PCJSS, and N Chakma, 32, general secretary of Bagaichhari upazila unit of the youth body, reports our Rangamati correspondent quoting police.

Shotosiddhi and N Chakma came under attack by the gang at the house of a local Ripon Chakma near a community centre in Babupara area around 11:30pm, said M Manjurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station.

The criminals opened fire at them, leaving them dead on the spot, the OC said.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to a local hospital morgue, he added.
