3 killed in Kurigram road accident

Three people were killed in a road accident in Amtoli area on Nageshwari-Bhurungamari road in Kurigram this morning.

The deceased were identified as Motaleb, 35, Sohel, 32, and Sujon, 30, hailing from Santospur union of Nageshwari upazila.

The accident took place when a motorcycle hit a roadside tree here around 9:30 am, leaving Motaleb dead on the spot and two others injured, said Afzalul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nageshwari Police Station.

The injured were taken to Nageshwari Health Complex where Sohel succumbed to his injuries.

Later, Sujon died on way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
