30 Pabna BADC workers fall ill inhaling toxic gas

At least 30 workers of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) fell ill after inhaling poisonous gas inside the BADC’s seed godown in Pabna Sadar upazila this afternoon.
“The poisonous gas was produced due to the use of strong insecticide to keep the seeds safe from insect attack.” reports our Pabna correspondent quoting Pabna BADC Joint Director Abdul Halim.
Seventy workers were working inside the godown of horticulture unit when at least 30 of them fell sick around noon, the BADC official said.
The sick workers were rushed to Pabna Medical College Hospital.
