Yaba factory busted in Narayanganj

The officials of Directorate of Narcotics Control (DNC) today claimed to have found a yaba factory during a raid in Narayanganj.

The DNC officials seized 200 yaba tablets, yaba making elements and two Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras in the factory yesterday, Md Jamal Uddin Ahmed, director general of the DNC, said at a press briefing at the DNC headquarters today.

The owner of the factory, Md Habibur Rahman, 47, fled the scene. Later the DNC officials detained his wife Lucky Akter, 32, the official said.

They also arrested 36 persons during different drives for allegedly possessing narcotics and seized a 7.65mm pistol, three mobile phones, cannabis, liquor, he added.

Such small yaba factories were earlier busted by the law enforcers, he added.
