36th BCS final result published, 2323 qualified
Public Service Commission (PSC) today published the final result of the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.
A total of 2323 candidates were recommended for different cadres, AYM Nesar Uddin, BCS exam comptroller, told The Daily Star.
He said 3308 candidates were kept in the waiting list of non-cadre posts.

A total of 292 candidates were recommended for admin cadre while 117 for police cadre, 42 for tax cadre, 20 for foreign cadre, 15 for accounts and audit, 322 for agriculture, 48 for fisheries, 187 for assistant health surgeon, and 43 for livestock among the total of 2323 candidates recommended in the 36th BCS.
The result for the 36th BCS exams is available at Bangladesh Public Service Commission website.
Also, one can get the result by typing PSC36 Registration Number and send the text message to 16222 using any Teletalk mobile number. [Example: type PSC36 123456 and send to 16222]
Over two lakh candidates participated in the preliminary exam for 36th BCS held on January 8 last year, among which only 13, 679 passed. In September 2016, 12,468 candidates took part in the written exams for 36th BCS in which 5,990 were selected for interviews.
The interviews began on March 12 this year and ended on June 7.
Earlier, BPSC issued a circular on May 31, 2015 to appoint 2,180 first class gazetted officers in the 36th BCS.
