1,314 recommended for 37th BCS cadres

The final result of 37th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations under Public Service Commission (PSC) has been published.

Some 1,314 candidates have been recommended provisionally for appointing to different cadres, said a release. Of them 465 were recommended for general cadres.

All the successful candidates cannot be recommended for cadre posts due to lack of vacant posts, a PSC press release said. The number of such candidates is 3,454, a PSC press release said today.

The results are now available at PSC’s its website, www.bpsc.gov.bd.

Around 2.43 lakh candidates took part in the preliminary test held in September 30 in 2016 for 1,226 vacant posts.

Of them, 8,523 candidates came out successful. However, some 8,031 applicants sat for months-long written tests began in February 11 last year and 5,379 passed the test.
