Govt to buy 6 lakh tonnes of Aman paddy directly from farmers

The government will buy six lakh metric tonnes of paddy directly from farmers this Aman season, Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak said today.
The authorities are preparing a farmers' list up to the union level for a lottery so that no one gets deprived, the minister said at a programme in International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB) in Dhaka.
