6-year-old brutally killed in Gopalganj

A six-year-old has been brutally murdered in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.

Police recovered Suma Khanam's mutilated body after being informed by locals, our Faridpur correspondent reports.  

The body of the first grader was found in an abandon homestead at Kusumdia village in the upazila early this morning, said Sub-inspector Ganesh Biswas, of Kashiani Police Station.

Two persons, including a child, were held for questioning in this connection, he added.  

Suma, daughter of Md Mizan Sheikh of Chapta village, went missing on Wednesday from the Chapta Train Station, said the sub-inspector.

Family members and relatives searched for the girl and later informed police, he added.

Locals informed police seeing her body at that homestead, Ganesh said.
