Padma bridge nearly 70% done: Quader
Bangladesh’s biggest infrastructure project Padma Bridge is 67 per cent complete, Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said today.
The minister disclosed the update while briefing journalists about the project’s progress at the Bridges Division around 11:00am.
The overall progress of Padma Bridge is at 67 per cent at present. The main bridge structure has reached 76 per cent completion, Quader said.
On the other hand, the river training of Padma is at 55 per cent, the minister said; adding that the connecting road has been completed.
Twelve among the total 41 spans of Padma bridge have been established so far, the 13th will be installed with one or two days, the minister added.
